Chef K's Big Easy Red Beans & Rice

Ingredients

WATER: 1 quart of water (equals 4 cups, or  two 16 ounce bottles of water)

 

FRUIT:  1 lemon and 1 green apple

 

SPICE:  Cayenne pepper to taste (remember it's spicy!)

UTENSILS:  Knife and spoon

Here's what's next...

  1. Slice half a lemon and cut the other half into wedges.
     

  2. Slice apple.
     

  3. Put lemon slices in mason jar (or other type of cup). Add cayenne pepper. Muddle all ingredients together. 
     

  4. Add water and apple slices.  Squeeze in lemon wedge juice into jar. 
     

  5. Pour it up!
